ADMISSION INTO THE ADVANCED PROFESSIONAL DIPLOMA IN LAW ENFORCEMENT ADMINISTRATION                                                                                  (ADLEA) 2016/2017 SESSION
 
The Human Resources Development Centre of the University of Lagos in collaboration with the Department of History and Strategic Studies, Faculty of Arts, invites application from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the ADVANCED DIPLOMA IN LAW ENFORCEMENT ADMINISTRATION.
 
PROGRAMME:       ADVANCED DIPLOMA IN LAW ENFORCEMENT ADMINISTRATION.

PERIOD:                  Two Semesters (Saturdays only)
 
FOR WHOM: Middle, senior and executive cadre personnel of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF), Nigeria Prison Service (NPS), State Security Service (SSS), National Intelligence Agency (NIA), Nigerian Custom Service (NCS), Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS), National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), National Food and Drug Administration Control (NAFDAC), Standard Organisation of Nigeria (SON), National Environmental Protection and Regulation Agency (NESRA), Traffic Enforcement Agencies, such as Lagos State Traffic Management Agency (LASTMA) and Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC), Private Security Personnel, Private Investigators, Business Persons, Enforcement Units of Parastatals, Security Personnel in the Aviation and Maritime industry, and  persons interested in Law Enforcement.
 
ADMISSION REQUIREMENT: To be eligible, an applicant is required to have at least one of the following qualifications:
1.   A first degree of the University of Lagos, or any other comparable institution approved by the University of Lagos Senate.
2.   A Diploma in any discipline of the University of Lagos, or any other recognised diploma of other comparable institution approved by the University of Lagos Senate.
3.   GCE/WASC/WASSCE ('O' Level) or its equivalent with at least credit passes in five subjects including English Language.
4.    Matured candidate with five years of relevant work experience and must be over 30 years of age.
 
COURSE BENEFITS: This is a specially designed programme for middle, executive and management cadre of law enforcement organisations, corporate and private intelligence personnel. It is expected that at the end of the course, the participants would have acquired advanced leadership, administrative and relevant intelligence management skills to enhance their capacity for effective service delivery.
 
COURSE FEES: N80, 000.00 for tuition and N20, 000.00 for course materials.
COURSE PRESENTATION:Lectures, Tutorials, Case Studies and Seminars.
APPLICATION FEE AND METHOD OF APPLICATION:
i.    Applicants are expected to visit the HRDC portal http//:hrdc.unilag.edu.ng to fill the pre-application form.  (Content of the
pre-application form include Surname, First Name, Middle name, E-mail address and Mobile number).Upon successful
completion of the pre-application form, the applicant will be issued a “Payment Reference Number” which should be printed out.

ii.  Applicants should take their print out containing the payment reference number  to any of the designated banks (Eco bank,Access Bank, First Bank, UBA, GTB and Wema Bank) on the University campus to make payment of  N7,500

iii. After payment, applicants should return to the payment portal, click the application form link, login with the payment
Reference Number and the Surname (in lower case and strictly as provided in the pre-application form) as password to access the application form.

  Kindly note the following:
i.     Only application payments that the bank has confirmed receipt will have access to the application form. Applicants who experience challenges may return to the bank where payment was made to request that their payment be posted.  (Notification of payment receipt shall be sent to the email addresses of applicants who have paid).
ii.    The password will be as provided in the Surname field in lower case; errors in filling of surname must therefore be reflected in the password used.
iii.   If payment is not made five (5) days after obtaining Payment Reference Number (voucher); the pre-application          would be DECLINED.  Applicants will then be expected to refill the pre-application form to obtain a new Payment Reference Number (voucher).

After completion of application form, printed copies should be submitted at the HRDC Secretariat not later than twelve weeks from the date of this advert with the following documents:
-          Original printout and a photocopy                            -    Two (2) photocopies of Birth Certificate and credentials
-          Two (2) photocopies of Reference Number printout                    -    Original and  a photocopy of N7,500.00 teller

ADMISSION LETTERS:  Admission letters for shortlisted candidates are to be printed online.  Please note that letters of Admission will not be posted to individual candidates.
